Iota III, a hyper-capitalist city thousands of lightyears from earth, was approached by extraterrestrial capitalists known as The Masters of the Multiverse. These nefarious aliens are obsessed with wealth, which they view as the only form of true power. Upon discovering an extremely rare commodity known as The Darke Elixir on Iota III, they set out to infiltrate and overtake the planet through a dubious deal struck with the planet’s founding elders.
The Darke Elixir, a gene-editing substance, is capable of mutation in organisms, enhancing and warping normal capabilities to unheard of levels. The Masters realised that this can be used to create legions of Bizarro Boys, with areas of specialization allocated according to their enhancements. Soldiers who obey without question, servants who never tire. An entire civilization can be subjected to their whims and wishes, ready to do their every bidding.
